David Baron
Chief Executive Officer
David has been in the industry for over 25 years. Under his leadership, Safari has grown steadily since 1992 when he began his journey in the cellular industry. His ability to develop solutions for clients while staying ahead of the technology curve has been the core driver behind our clients’ success. David’s focus on trust and hard work has meant many successful client and industry partnerships. He has led the company in delivering technology to temporary special events in sports, entertainment, business and broadcast.

Carl leads our support and sales teams, working closely with clients and partners. Known for bridging the gaps between traditional and emerging technologies, he is an expert at rapidly identifying and implementing technical innovations. Before joining Safari Solutions, Carl lead technology teams for a diverse range of organizations, including the United States Golf Association (USGA), Mondelez International, Motorola and Verizon. Carl’s varied background in the technology space provides the perfect foundation for guiding our S4 clients in making the right technology decisions.

Chief Technology Officer
With 20 years of experience in Wi-Fi, data networking, virtualization, cloud services, and telecommunications, Hien leads our group of network engineers and works closely with clients. Hien is responsible for the overall data architecture for customer networks, as well as the efficient operation and performance management of those networks. As the technical leader for some of the largest sporting events in the world, Hien efficiently identifies the customer’s needs and deploys the right framework. Hien is the master of solutions simplified.

General Counsel and SVP Finance and Administration
In addition to handling all of Safari’s legal matters, Art is responsible for the finance, HR and administrative operations for the company. Art joined Safari in 2013, after two decades in a similar role for an international real estate development firm focused on both residential and commercial projects. For the first seven years of his career, Art was a commercial litigator for one of NJ’s largest law firms, where he represented international financial institutions and major corporations in federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings.

Director of Business Development
Del McLennon has been advising clients on technology solutions for three decades. He began his career during the AT&T divestiture and supported customers during a time of great marketplace uncertainty specific to technology offerings. Over time, Del has developed a keen awareness of how to navigate the technology landscape, and now supports deeper client conversations regarding the entire enterprise marketplace. Del lends his expertise by serving as a member of the Technology Committee for CIANJ as well as the Construction Committee at Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce.

When our S4 Advisor clients become S4 Help Desk Clients, Tom is the man who runs the show. With over 20 years of experience, Tom is recognized as an industry expert among the largest telecom carriers. From serving as an expert witness in litigation involving billing disputes, to securing millions in refunds and ongoing savings for clients, Tom’s knowledge of carrier services and business applications delivers measurable results for our clients. He works with clients to quickly identify issues, billing mistakes, and negotiate favorable contracts and settlements.

Director of Client Solutions Architecture
Kim and her team are the heart behind our S4 Advisor relationships. She brings 10 years of experience in relationship management and technology consulting to the team. Kim has been integral to evaluating client’s existing services and helping organizations determine the best solutions ranging from Cloud VoIP, SD/WAN/MPLS, Contact Center, Advisory Services, Cloud Data services, Carrier Services, Wi-Fi, and data networking. When developing requirements, facilitating RFPs, handling solution provider negotiations, and helping implement a range of solutions, Kim provides our S4 Advisor clients with a premium customer experience.

Erik's first "real job" was with Safari, where he started as a field technician more than 13 years ago. While getting his feet wet (often literally) at high-profile events across the country, Erik moved into management as his technical knowledge and soft skills grew. After overseeing many major projects to a successful conclusion he transitioned to a desk job where he now oversees Safari's technical event coordinators. Erik enjoys being involved in all aspects of Safari's Event business, both in the front and back of the house, which assures the delivery of a quality product to our clients. When he's not in the trenches with his team, Erik spends as much time as he can with his daughter and trains in mixed martial arts.

Service Desk Manager
Eileen is responsible for all aspects of our Service Desk. She has worked in the telecom field for over 30 years with an emphasis on Avaya products. In addition to providing end-user support, Eileen planned and implemented many successful voice projects for Nabisco, Kraft Foods and Mondelez. In her role at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, she was responsible to maintain voice inventory, design contact center call flow, and optimize voice equipment and telco circuits -- leading to hundreds of thousands of dollars in cost reduction and avoidance.
Francie Cooper

Senior Greenside Administrator
Francie joined Safari in 2016 after an extensive career in broadcast. Her prior work was focused mostly on golf both in the US and abroad, but also expanded to other sporting events including the Winter and Summer Olympics. Concerts, conventions and entertainment events were also part of Francie's prior world. After joining Safari, her skills and ability propelled her to a front line position with our golf focused teams. Francie now manages the work and needs for dozens of staff who traverse the country week-in and week-out to support the ever-expanding data networking requirements of our clients and their partners.

Manager of Technical Field Operations, Events Division
Ken dove right in with Safari Solutions when he joined us in 2018 as he managed the PGA ShotLink project, overseeing its growth into the amazing platform it is today. Now he’s using his broad background in technology and broadcasting, to work with our Events Division as we continue to grow. Ken’s experience with production companies on the Network level in televised sporting events, the Olympics, concerts and TV shows has been an invaluable asset for our clients.

As part of the management team, Nate’s expertise in financial oversight and administration coordination enables the Safari Events Division to operate as efficiently and effectively as possible. This directly translates to delivering an optimum level of service to our partners. Prior to Safari, Nate spent nearly a decade moving around the United States handling the operations for various professional golf events, including serving as the Director of Operations for the 2013 PGA Championship. At Nate’s request, Safari was hired for many of the professional golf events he worked on.

With 30 years’ experience in the Telecom industry, Jason came on board with Safari in 2004 to assist in the growth of our Event division. Jason’s managerial skills and vision helped us go from out-sourcing most of that work to handling all the work in-house and expanding our number of employees. Jason also helped found our Greenside Division, developing it to become the standalone entity it is today. He shines in his ability to bring jobs in on time and budget.

Eric performs the analysis, advising, recommendation, and implementation of solutions in conjunction with our team to ensure clients technical needs are met. As a Certified Cisco Network Administrator, Eric leverages a strong background in routing, switching, wireless, data center and server infrastructure. Through his experience on all levels of the Penn State Help Desk assisting users of all skill sets to repair and troubleshoot desktop, mobile devices, wireless infrastructure and utilization of custom business applications, Eric honed his skills of interfacing with customers, while providing highly technical solutions.

Since joining Safari Solutions in 1997, Franky has become responsible for the Infrastructure Design and Deployment of most of our Tour Events, such as the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup, the USGA US Open, Super Bowl Live and the NHL Winter Classic. He meets with carriers to go over available services in the area and find the most cost-efficient way to get services to the event property. Franky does what it takes, both onsite and remotely, to execute the project with excellence.

Much of Jay’s time is spent in the field understanding the needs of clients and leading the delivery of solutions. He’s developed the experience needed to understand all aspects of a project. Jay is responsible for overseeing multiple events and project managers to ensure continued successful deployments. Jay’s ability to work with people has proven him effective for team development and training, making sure all members know what they need to know to keep Safari at the leading edge of technology solutions

Safari Solutions knows technology. But we also know the importance of giving to our communities. The thrust of our philanthropic work goes to the Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation. One of our founding partners, Steve Figurelli (1961-2016), started FCCF and we continue to support this life-saving organization.
